I didn't realize that we only welcomed the nice, sweet little mutant children with open arms. What happens when half of my students start showing here? Do I have to take them all in because they're judgmental little assholes, too?

There was no need to be snippy with her. Scott welcomed her, she politely declined. Perhaps she does want someone to ask her to come to the mansion, she's a teenager. She shouldn't be scolded for that. He left a door open for her, which is what we should be doing for any young mutant that's on their own. Shutting a door in her face only strengthens Mystique if she decides she wants to start a Brotherhood here.

There's a difference between playing like a cat at the door wanting people to fawn over you while snubbing them and actively trying to message contempt for people. She decided she didn't want to be part of this group before speaking to any of us and only drops by on posts like this to make sure we're all reminded of it.

If we want to remember what rejection is, we all have ample friends and families to think fondly back on. This group's not about that, and that's what she's laser focused on.

We should behave better than angsty teenagers. We are capable of rising above such bait. Scott managed to not scold her.

Rogue isn't some common sociopath. She's a lonely teenager who's making bad choices. And that's only going to get worse if she's chastised every time she makes a comment. Why would anyone be interested in this group if we are the sort of people who shove our kids away for acting their age?

Antagonizing her only furthers Mystique's work. I understand that she isn't always making the best choices. But if Mystique is sweet as sugar to her and we're telling her to leave us alone, it's not all on her shoulders for being naive. Still, the girl isn't a lost cause, but will be if she's treated like garbage for being melodramatic like every other teen and twenty-something we know does regularly.

Ignore her if she annoys you, fine. Don't tell her she's not welcome for acting her age.

	Have you actually tried these methods? Cause I'm pretty sure she's the first we've attempted them on. Sugar coating things ain't going to help. The kid was in Weapon X, is a thief, lying about her age considering the last thing she seems to be remembering from home or she wouldn't be waiting for Gambit to show up cause he's dead.
