It's a bit strange to me that this year I spent more time with friends for Thanksgiving than I ever did back home. Bizarre but good? I think. Anyone else having that kind of experience?

It was my first thanksgiving ever.

How did you like it?

It was fun. Although it's still odd to me that people eat so much for a holiday, and that it seems to center around eating turkey.

I can see how that'd be strange to someone new to the holiday. Sometimes people volunteer at places to feed the homeless or less fortunate instead of the excesses in their own celebration.

If I had know that, I would have done that instead. But I did enjoy the time.

It's good you can experience it both ways. Do you have family or friends here?

They're pretty much both friends and family. Ed and Al. I've known them since we were little, so they're both to me. Plus I've made some friends while here.

Oh, that's wonderful. I'm glad to hear it. You disappeared and reappeared recently?

No. I've been here about two months now, but I did experience a time jump. I aged two years and gained memories from home.

How did it happen?

I don't know. It just... sort of... happened.

When you were asleep?

Yes, that's exactly when it happened.

That sounds very strange. You okay?

I'm alright. I've gotten over the initial shock.

No, I'm fine. I'm still adjusting, but it'll take time. I'm Winry.

Most wounds end up healed with time, even the ones that don't seem like they could be.
