Happy to report that Swan House has survived Emma's cooking. We're all still breathing.

Somehow, I have leftover pie. I have 3 pumpkin, 2 1/2 apple, and 2 cherry to give away. First come, first serve. I ask that you share if there's more interest than pie.

So, you two have been around longer than I have. I've been brainstorming about what to do here to make myself useful and I decided I'd be terrible at taking orders from anyone. I've been scouting the area and aside from a few coffee shops being my competition, I think I could start a bakery here.

Now, I'm going to go and see some banks about a loan. I have a proposal, market research, and projected sales. I rather ask you two for money than strangers, but I'd also understand if you don't want to or can't invest at the moment. You're free to look at the information I've gathered and analyzed before you decide anything.

I'm also good at bribing with baked goods. Just keep that in mind, in case you need a bit of convincing.

It's a bit too poppy for me.

You know most people aren't that upfront about trying to kill someone repeatedly.
What made you change?

Kind of like here. But we had magic and Astrals which isn't a thing on earth usually from what I've seen. Not nearly as many different countries and all of that either.
At least up until a few years ago. Some stuff went down and now we're just trying to keep everything from completely falling apart.

The more I talk about it, the more I can accept my part in the blame and move on.

My son. I adopted him when I started looking for more in life, but his mother is Snow's daughter, so in the end, he brought us all together. He brought us peace, however temporarily.

What are Astrals? I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with something terrible back there.

That's pretty cool that you want to. I doubt that can be easy. Especially with that connection. Your son must be an awesome kid to want to help you past all that. Better than I was with my -

They're our gods. They protect us but also kind of make shit worse at the same time. Titan, Ramuh, Shiva, Leviathan, Ifrit, and Bahamut the complete dick.

He made me want to change for the better. And the others, his family, my family, made me want to stay good. For someone so young, he's a force of change for the better.

That's interesting. I've only dealt with one god, Hades, who was terrible.

Must be a god thing? Too much power or something... makes people crazy. Or not people in this case.

He was certainly on a level that didn't mesh with basic human decency, that's for certain. Power corrupts, if you're not careful.
