Place is interesting. Quiet too. Kind of nice.

[Jedi/Force Users]

Heard there were others. Hoping there's no Council, don't feel like explaining myself again. All the old channels don't responds, so in case anyone I know is here; sorry. Had something to do. Got waylaid. Force and it's sense of humour.

In case I don't know anyone, which seems more likely, name's Meetra Surik. Holonet's different, seems to be no way off planet and this place isn't on any charts I know. Anything I should know?

They gave it a name then? Heard that too. Thus not using it often. Twice now, hopefully only two times I need to.

Someone did, yes. It's associated more with the Sith.

Yeah I can see why.

Stab in the dark, but do you know anything about Wounds in the Force?

I'm not sure. If you mean the way the Force is impacted by a sudden large number of deaths, the concentration of suffering and pain that leaves behind, then yes. Or do you mean something else?

No, sort of the same thing. No more on it, ways around it, ways to stop it?

Mostly. Because if you sense me you'll understand why I'm asking.

I was taught about creating them, not healing them.

Are you what I've been sensing, then? A sort of vergence in the Force.

The way how may lead to a way to fix it.

More then likey. Yes. I am a Wound. At least, to what my Council knew of it.

But you're a person. How could that be possible? Were you at a site of a great many deaths? [...] The cause?

Not too sure. On the possibility of it.

Malachor V. There was a battle there. A lot of death, too. I got severed from the Force there, but then later got an approximation of it back.

Doesn't answer much I know but that's all I know. No one's sure what happened, not even my Council. Part of why I got exiled, because they didn't really understand.

Exiled because they didn't understand, well that sounds fair. I see the Council didn't operate so differently in our respective times. They were quick to give up on people and reject what isn't according to tradition.

In all honesty, I did go against their express orders and joined the war. Also was the only one to come back to try and explain. Was judged on the actions of others.

Doesn't make it fair. Or right. Just understandable, in some aspects. Doesn't mean I agree.

Trust me, got a lot of arguments against tradition.

Ah, now there's a difference-- a Jedi Order that did NOT go to war. And the decision being voluntary, too, rather than everyone being expected to take part in it.

Rather the opposite, actually. They told us not to get involved, that it wasn't our purpose to do so. A bunch of us disagreed.

Don't agree, but after the Freedon Nadd uprising and Qel-Droma's things they wanted to pull back. Went too far, but they tend to do that.

Did your Council take orders from your government as well that could compel their involvement, or was it more independent? In my time, they bowed to the Senate and became its soldiers instead of remaining "peacekeepers." But even without that, only knowing what I knew then, I would have made the choice to fight. It seemed necessary.

They used to, then they withdrew. They wanted to stay out of it. Problem was that it meant to stay out of the universe as a whole as well. And with the Mandalorians invading, that wasn't really a good choice.

Understand that.
