	Because this is the only day you can do that? That's sort of my point. No one does this shit any other time of the year. But apparently it's a must twice a year when people are over-spending and over-eating and what... It's not a big deal? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Oh of course not! Definitely not! But like I said, people are weird like that. They like traditions and they don't realize the value of doing these things every day, like spending time with friends and family.

I think this year, though, I appreciate the tradition a little more because it's helped me to connect with people that aren't part of my universe. Establish a sort of network here, you know? But I wouldn't limit it to the holidays. I like appreciating people every day.
