If you are strapped for ideas. ⚡ will be celebrating Record Store Day on Friday marked with special, new, and regional releases. There's some good stuff this year.

We open at 11 am-~~ish~~ because I am not insane and opening a store at 4 am and I assume you are not either.

I guess part of the rationale of RSD is getting people out of shit like Best Buy and back to their indie record stores. Idk, it's the first year I've qualified for it. But it's not like I'm going to stop selling or spinning them if people don't buy them Friday.

But I do only have like 6 of the Tori :(

Nah. I can put one aside. Like I said, I'm interested in low-key. We basically open when I get there, which can be dependent on Wolverine's moods.

I know what you mean, they had been heavily cracking down on the importation of western in Cairo when I left. It was touch or go what could be acquired and how rapidly when unless you stole walkmen from tourists or something like that.

It actually hasn't been so bad here. I managed to wedge my way into an existing displaced-run comic shop and started with about 2000 dollars to build a stock then trolling prowling flea markets, estate sales, and ebay for a while. Then the woman who ran the comic half left and I took over.

There's a solid network for record store owners, and it's a great in with localish bands and studios.
