I'm out.

I tried traveling. First I went to upstate New York to check it out, since I've been there before. Familiar scene, right? Then I tried a few places around the world.

They all worked.

The bad news is... I can't get to Fillory. I'm sorry.

Your kind of magic is different from what I know. Having to literally have spells ON you? Different.

If it doesn't have to be permanent to work, maybe you could temporarily place it elsewhere and see if that still functions.
