I guess it was too much to ask to have a night where I can relax.

Though I will say the whole showing up on a different Earth is new to me.

My name's Lara [...] Croft.

I can imagine.

No, it'll depend on what I'm researching. A lot of my father's work was unfinished so I've been starting there.

I can understand picking up the family business. I did the same, even though I didn't realize it at the time. Do you excavate remains or artifacts?

What do you do?

It depends. Sometimes it's better to leave it where it is, depending on if there are living communities that it belongs to. Some trinkets I'll keep, my father's had quite a collection over the years.

I worked for a government organization back home. I haven't found a job yet here. I might go into law enforcement.

That makes a lot of sense.

Probably have a lot of opportunities here, I have no idea what to do for a job.

Well that's a familiar story.

Something you've gone through?

Family business. Monster hunting, but artifacts and ruins feature strongly.

I wouldn't say monster hunting is part of my job, but I guess it's something you're used to?

My father tended to start training pretty bloody early.

Ah. In my case I was just interested in his work and he taught me what he knew and my passion grew from there.
