My name is Mycroft Holmes. Specifically, the Mycroft Holmes from BBC's Sherlock, not the U.S. version, Elementary.

Yes, I'm aware there are multiples of people present, including two pairs of Sherlocks and Watsons, and yes, I've been doing my research. There's not much else to do whist in quarantine.

For any interested parties, I was previously in Preya before I was brought to Tumbleweed.

As I write, I ought to be released from quarantine in approximately 29 hours from now. Neither my flat from London nor Preya has appeared with me, but I've been told something has been arranged. I do hope it's adequate. All that remains is to secure some sort of gainful employment which isn't too mundane.

We all got what we're good at. You've got a couple people here who can teleport and bring you places in a matter of seconds. They might go charging a fee, but it usually ain't that much and you can probably work out something with them.

I must admit, teleportation does sound enticing. It would be an experience I've never tried before.

What do you do in town?

Most get to do it at least once around here. Really can't go back to 8 hour flights after that.

I'm headmistress at the school for those who come through the portal. Among other thi

I look forward to my turn. From what I understand, a lot of interesting things occur in Tumbleweed. I imagine it rather spoils you.

That's a phrase I wouldn't have expected to see in the United States - headmistress. Curious that you should use it. I was actually writing to somebody before, who I believe teaches at your school.

I wouldn't call what happens here spoiling us.

You're expecting that just cause we're in the US that we're all gonna adhere to the traditions of it, huh? And Emma works there, yes.

I was only reiterating your observation about teleportation as being a quicker method of transportation as what's spoiling. I've read about your recent fiasco on Bonfire Night with the Gremlins. Nasty bit of trouble, that.

I'm simply making an observation of my own, that the school must have some British influence.

Thank you for confirming her name for me

Most places got some British influence considering how much they colonized the world for a bit.

Yes. But in Texas? Spanish influence is expected, Western culture, but not British.

In Texas where you're getting people from different worlds, alien and other. What you know to be true ain't exactly correct here.

Quite. Which is why I made mention of it.

Contrary. The need to be 'right'. Defensive
