My name is Mycroft Holmes. Specifically, the Mycroft Holmes from BBC's Sherlock, not the U.S. version, Elementary.

Yes, I'm aware there are multiples of people present, including two pairs of Sherlocks and Watsons, and yes, I've been doing my research. There's not much else to do whist in quarantine.

For any interested parties, I was previously in Preya before I was brought to Tumbleweed.

As I write, I ought to be released from quarantine in approximately 29 hours from now. Neither my flat from London nor Preya has appeared with me, but I've been told something has been arranged. I do hope it's adequate. All that remains is to secure some sort of gainful employment which isn't too mundane.

You'll be staying with us. Obviously. Either you're being deliberately obtuse or you think you'll be able to stand living elsewhere. Continue to delude yourself if you must. I suppose it's a form of entertainment.

What took you so long to respond? Did you break your mobile, or just let the battery run down?

Living with you, how delightful. It will be just like old times. I think not.

Neither. You know why I can't type it out

221C is vacant. Roof access. Ideal vantage points. Easy access to my movements. Need I go on?

You've been occupied with something else. Not a case. Tumbleweed is too provincial for the sort of cases that interests you. But something that would occupy your time for long enough that you wouldn't be checking your mobile, which I know you do incessantly.

The flat with the mildew, the peeling wallpaper, and that god-awful carpet?

Have you worked it out yet, or shall I go for a smoke break in the meantime?

The flat with me in it, Mycroft. Are we really going to -

Bring me a pack when you pick me up from quarantine. They've confiscated mine. Non-smoking area, indeed.

What Mrs Hudson's flat? I haven't heard anything about her being present in Tumbleweed.

Thank God I'm not buying the low-tar. You'll just have to make do with the regular kind.

That's been let. You'd take the other one.

Very well.

It's been let? To whom?

He refuses to come unless we renovate the flat for him first. If you object, I won't do it. Simple solution.

He can stay.

I know how important your brother is to you.

And you let Harry stay with us in Preya.

It's okay. He's your family. It's not like he's not moving into my old bedroom.

Just don't invite anybody into my old bedroom.

This is the second time he invited somebody to live in our apartment building without consulting me, first. The first time he'd done it, he promised he wouldn't do it again, and here we are.

I'm letting it pass because it's Sherlock's brother.

Who I really don't like.

I can see how he might not have been thinking in this case, as it is his brother. As brilliant as he is, I imagine those kinds of social cues don't come easy to him?

Just text me and I'll come over that way they can have one more person to be snarky to.

That and I do need to get to know Sherlock a bit more since we're friends. Did he and I knew each other that well back where you two were staying?

He can be spontaneous, which can be a good thing or a bad thing. He's getting better at the social clues, though, I have to admit.

Did you just offer to be my wingman? Wingwoman?

You were the lady who helped at the animal shelter where he'd come in and hang out with the animals, and the one who helped us find and adopt our puppy, Beatrice. I think he'll remember you. He's always a bit stiff with strangers, at first, but given that he already sort of knows you, at least from another world, it might give him a head start.

I can see how it could go either way.

Does that still work when you're already with someone?

Well then lets hope I'm just as charming as the other Rose.

Kind of like how the Doctor is, I imagine.

My snark wingman.

You are, believe me. Even without the animals. Actually, I wonder if Bee would mistake you for the Other Rose? She was the one who brought her to our apartment from the shelter.

Disregard the exchange. We're profoundly co-dependent and I'm relieved he's here, but don't tell him I said that.
