I've been informed that these cute little creatures are the subject of a thirty-year-old horror film. 'Tis the season for mischief and all that. Though gifting potentially dangerous creatures en masse does seem a bit over the top for a holiday prank. I've switched on the film to find out what we're in for exactly. Is it meant to be a comedy, or should I not be laughing?

[TWELVE & JACK]

Do we need to establish House Rules regarding the Mogwai or have you both pawned yours off on someone else already?

Well, what else do you expect me to do with it? I'm certainly not going to kill the poor thing. Passing it along to someone else to hoard hardly seems like a constructive solution either. Their penchant for trouble-making seems to intensify in groups.

You think I want to kill it?

Fine. We'll keep ours together. They could keep one another company. Just lock the doors to the pool room and the kitchen.

Of course not. I was speaking in generalities after reading some discussions on the network to that end.

I'm talking to someone on here who plans to outfit a water repellent suit for his Mogwai. Perhaps we could undertake a similar solution?

You want to dress them up in wetsuits?

He made it sound much more sophisticated than that, but yes. It couldn't hurt. Let's hear your clever idea, then?

I don't know. Just don't let them know we have a pool in the TARDIS?

I'm using sippy cups for mine so they can't get wet when they're drinking.

I'm confident the TARDIS will keep them away from any of the rooms that contain water. If they do get wet, it will likely be due to some sort of accident.

That seems like good practice. Mine has not appeared to be particularly thirsty. I have been giving her foods with high water content.

Alright, then. I mean, it's not alright for others to kill them, but you know what I mean.

What do they mean by water repellent suit? A scuba diving sort of outfit that covers his entire head, hands and feet? That doesn't sound comfortable for them!

I think the best way to deal with it is make sure they're nowhere near water in the first place. The TARDIS ought to know if they're getting into trouble, and could divert them accordingly.

He's some sort of engineer for a super-powered hero called The Flash, so I imagine it's a bit more high tech, not to mention fashionable, than that.

The simplest way to make sure that they avoid trouble is to monitor them at all times. They do seem to thrive on social interaction. But even as dire as the consequences are, I'm unsure I have the patience to carry them around with me all day. Perhaps we could set up a room for them with activities to keep them comfortable and occupied when we are not around?

The Flash? I'm not impressed.

I can ask the TARDIS to create a room just for them. Special sized beds, exercise wheel, trampoline, what else?

Special feeding mechanism that gives them food, but locks after midnight.

Obviously as in "quicker than a..." I thought you'd appreciate the whimsy of it.

Exercise wheel? I suppose they do rather look like bat crossed with a hamster. I'm sure they'll love it. Certainly preferable to a cage or some of the other vile means of containment their friends are having to endure. Perhaps a television or something comparable? My little Mogwai enjoyed watching the Gremlins film with me, though it did give her a bit of a fright.

Mine like cartoons.

Do we have to put them in a special room? I promise not to get mine wet again. And I'm not daft enough to feed it after midnight.

If you feel fit to juggle a pair of them, have at it. I found it a bit of a struggle to give just one the proper attention. Now that I have Nebula's as well, I would prefer to have a safe habitat for them to settle into when I am otherwise engaged.

Meh. I bet I could come up with stuff much better than his tiny human brain can think of.

Okay, a telly. Maybe some piped in music? Beds to sleep on.

Do you have plans for adopting a superhero identity?

It's infinitely more luxurious than that box they arrived in. It should suit them well.

You must've heard of that dude, Superman, right? Landed on Earth from another planet, with all sorts of abilities that humans don't have, helping Earthlings against threats? That's me to a T.
