If you aren't completely sure you can follow the rules skim through the network to find one of the people offering to take them off your hands. I've name-dropped the military base to rent a room at the community centre for a screening of Gremlins tonight at 6pm. They will attempt to break the rules. The consequences are different for each one.

Sunlight: they'll die, kind of messily.
Water: they'll multiply.
Food at night*: they'll turn into gremlins like the gif there, which are dangerous and chaotic.

*Midnight until the sun comes up the next morning, but it's probably wise to make the cut off more like 9 or 10pm.

No flying but they can climb.

Well, that's a relief. How strong are they? Or fast?

I don't think they were much stronger than they look. Maybe decent speed-wise, but it's more like turning your back on a toddler than supernatural-level speed.

I haven't much experience with toddlers, but hopefully that means they don't move any more quickly than I do.

So if I were to try to contain them in a room, how likely are they to break out?

I've got nieces and nephews and cousins. They can be surprisingly quick.

Hopefully if there's nothing close to the door handle for them to climb not very.

Sounds like containing them might be our best option, then. Until someone has better ideas.
