Attention celebrators of Bonfire Night! I will be hosting Bonfire night at Ronan's farm, and I've been told the go-karts will be running that night as well.

Johnny Storm has graciously agreed to light our bonfire with himself, and I would love it if we had one or two magical types (I'm looking at you Albus) could ensure that the fire itself won't scorch or burn anything in the area. We're not looking to start a brush fire that destroys the town. If there's anyone magical or fireworks-inclined that wouldn't go amiss either.

The only thing missing is a chill in the air and a hot apple cider. (Rest assured there will be beverages and snacks. Volunteers for this would be lovely as well.)

Bold of you to admit. I like that.

In the flesh.

I was going to write 'the one and only', but that's not necessarily true, is it?

Considering I have come across more than one Sherlock Holmes here in Tumbleweed, I would have to say it's not. Which one do you lay claim to? Both of them are quite elusive.

I've been told that my show is referred to BBC's Sherlock. Have you heard of it, before?

I know very little about it, and I think I'd rather keep it that way. My Sherlock showed me a peek into what the fans of our show have done, and it's unnerving.

I have a vague memory of a Sherlock Holmes series airing the last time I was a permanent resident of the 21st century. I was rather preoccupied that summer, so I can't recall it with any real clarity.

I can imagine. There is apparently a series about the Doctor, which I'm assuming you're aware of, given your recognition of the TARDIS. I haven't looked into it to see what role, if any, I play in it. Like you said, it's unnerving.

I can only imagine what sort of things somebody like you would be preoccupied with. But yeah, that's probably the one. Evidently, my relationship with Sherlock is something of interest to fans.

I've seen it. So yes, I know about the TARDIS and I'm familiar with you, at least a bit. I saw the episode where they introduced you, in the library.

Nothing respectable, I can assure you, though it was a great deal of fun.

Is that awkward for you?

My first appearance on the show was in the Library? Talk about a short-lived character!

A little, yes. [ooc: read - A lot]

Does it help to let you know that you were very mysterious and kick ass in that episode? You became a sensation, overnight.

But their preoccupation is in regard to the fictional character, not you the man. A small comfort, perhaps?

And quite right, too! Maybe I ought to tune in after all, see what comes next. I've already been informed that I outlive my own death in some way, and I don't just mean my being here.

Not really. It's still my life, and it's been exposed and on display.

Oh! You don't know>?

Yes, well, when you put it that way, I can see how it might be problematic if you're sensitive about that sort of thing. We all have our hang-ups. The real struggle comes in trying to overcome them.

I don't know about my life after death? No, not really. The Doctor's not particularly chatty about that sort of thing. His human hybrid counterpart told me once that he uploaded my consciousness into the data core of the Library. So assuming I don't spend the rest of my borrowed existence bouncing from portal destination to portal destination, I have that to look forward to.

I'm in therapy. My therapist is one of us. I mean, one of the Displaced. Professor Xavier, do you know him?

Do you want to know? Because it gives a hint of what happens with you at the end of the episode. I could tell you, or if you'd rather watch it yourself?

"The Displaced." Is that what we're calling ourselves? It's very appropriate. No, I've not heard of anyone by that name. I'm woefully unfamiliar with most of the residents here. Is it helping?

Have you watched your show?

That's what somebody told me, yeah. I guess so. It's good to get things off my chest, sometimes, though I've been through therapy before, back home.

No, I haven't. I'm nervous about what I'll see. Sherlock has also warned me about Googling ourselves.

I have surprised even myself with my restraint in that regard. I have fully succumbed to the power of Google but have yet to search for my name. I'm normally quite unstoppable when it comes to looking for myself amongst stories of the Doctor. Is reading better than watching, do you think? Perhaps we should implement the buddy system with respect to our fictional selves. If you do decide to watch, you must have a buddy for moral support. And someone to laugh at yourself with.

'Googling yourself' has such dirty undertones.

Personally, reading helps to give me a bit more emotional distance. Often, what's given is just a cold summary of what happened. Watching yourself, hearing the voices, can bring up all sorts of memories and feelings that might sting.

That's not such a bad idea. Maybe one of the rules should be that the buddy or buddies watching with you can't be from the same universe as yours. Reduce the risk of embarrassment?

It's remarkably close to ogling yourself, which, I suppose, is practically the same thing. I'm mostly curious how much of my time with the Doctor has found its way onto the show.

Embarrassment isn't any concern of mine, but I can understand how it might be for some. I'm curious that you anticipate embarrassment more in the presence of your fellow universe mates than strangers.

Truthfully, I haven't been keeping up with your show for a while. I stopped after I was deployed and didn't back into it, so I'm not up to date. I couldn't tell you how much of you was there.

I'd be embarrassed by strangers, too. But somehow, you're not that much of a stranger.
