In our world we’re L’cie. Chosen by the gods to do their bidding. They give us a ‘blessing’ of powers and magic for as long as we play by their little games, but their games come with a timer and a price. Take too long? Don’t play the game the way they want you to play? Cei’th-dom is your price. Your body is transformed into mindless monster forced into the misery of forever searching for something you’ll never know and never be able to find. Some say Cie’th still have minds, but they’re clouded and fractured in a madness they’ll never escape.

Our Brands are our markers that are given to us from the Fal’cie, mine’s all messed up so my timer’s stopped, but her’s isn’t.

Doesn’t seem like either of us is out of service yet.
