There are flying monkeys. I think I'll be staying inside for a while. Anyone have any idea where the heck they came from?

That is what they were? That might be a problem. When I saw them they were headed north carrying things that looked heavy.

That's what they looked like to me. They were big. I wonder what they had?

There are stories on Earth that have flying monkeys in them. Most people learn about them as children. I think... I remember they might have picked up the characters and taken them to the castle. In the book. Maybe they're doing the same thing here.

I'm not familiar with these stories. I really hope that's not what's happening!

I'm not very good at them either. They're mostly for children and young people.

We have stories back home, but growing up we mostly focused on our apprenticeships. These stories don't sound very kid-friendly.

Yes the stories confuse me sometimes. People say that normally children are protected from violence and horror but their folklore stories are full of it.

In my world we have enough literal monsters, that the nice, happy stories are a welcome change.

Monsters, I am familiar with. Including the ones that like to hide behind soft eyes.

Yeah, I'm familiar with that kind too.

That sounds like a wise decision. I didn't happen to see them, but given the method of our own appearance here, I would suspect another portal? Clearly they did not enter via the same one we arrived through.

They look mean. I'd rather stay inside where there are lots of people. Strength in numbers, right?

I think where flying monkeys are concerned, yes. I should think their strength lay in the element of surprise, not actual physical strength. But I have never encountered one before myself.

Ugh. That makes them even more terrifying to me. Scary flying monkeys that jump out at me. Oh my god.

It does seem straight out of a horror movie, doesn't it? It sounds as if the folks at the military base have been alerted to the situation. That ought to provide enough of a distraction for the flying terrors. Still, best to stay indoors.

I'm finding that I really don't like monkeys, and sneaky, flying ones seem like the absolute worst. Yeah, I'm not leaving Ed's side until this is over.

I don't think so, but you can look at it if you want.
it'll take your mind off the monkeys, at least.
