I don’t know. Just figured that’s what you were based on what you said. The closest thing we have to a time doctor is a time dog, but he doesn’t talk.

Well, not exactly. Time Lord is the name of my people. 'The Doctor' is my name. But 'time dog' sounds interesting. What's that all about.

Possible. Maybe. Depends. Any given event in time is either in flux or a fixed point. When an event is in flux, it means there's some leeway to fiddle with things, without it being a problem. Time is more forgiving then, and nothing serious changes. But fixed points, those are important, and must occur, no matter if you think they're good or bad. It's impossible to tell if something is a fixed point in time or not unless you're a Time Lord, who is able to detect these sorts of thing.

But, if you're saying, something you do in one universe, affecting another? It's highly unlikely, but not impossible.

Oh. Sorry about assuming like that.

His name's Umbra. He's a messenger for the Gods and can travel through time, I guess? It doesn't really make sense to me, but. He's cool. Does his own thing.

Can fixed points be changed? Or does changing it mean it was never a fixed point in the first place?

I'm just [...] trying to figure out if somebody lied to me or not. To make me think I had to do something predestined when it was really just his mess he wanted me to clean up.

Not from what I've seen. It's [...] a long story. I ended up in a place called Knowhere, then I went home, but I remembered everything? So I, uh. Changed some things. Or maybe I was always going to make those choices? I don't really know.

As far as I know I came directly from Knowhere to here. I always wondered whether people who left Knowhere retained their memories or not.

I see you're remorseful for whatever you've done, but I'm going to need more information. If I meet you in person, I might be able to determine if there's a disturbance in time upon you. Otherwise, unless I can visit your world, I won't be able to tell if something wrong happened.

I don’t regret what I did. It’s just. Really complicated? Dammit Look, some guy told me I had to die in order to save my world, and I’m all, okay I guess?? But when I got back, everything — everyone was just [...] gone. Wiped out. There was so little left to save in the first place that I thought, okay, what’s this guy’s deal? What’s the point of all this?

You already know the part about Umbra. He took me back so I could save the people this guy apparently didn’t give a crap about. I’m just worried the not-dying-thing created, like, some fucked up time vortex that’s going to kill a whole lot of other people in universes I didn’t even know about. I’ll die if I have to. I get that now. I’m just afraid that I made things worse when I tried to make them better.

I'm being flippant. Don't tell her I said that. You're right, she means everything to me.

Look, time is complicated thing, more complicated than what your brain can understand. It comes instinctively for me, because I'm a Time Lord, and even then I don't always know.

But I can tell you this - it's very rare that one single individual can mess up multiple universes because of something they've done, time vortex or not. That's a lot of responsibility to carry for anybody. I'm sorry you went through what you did, sounds pretty traumatic, but we're all kind of stuck here for now anyway.

If you want, I can meet with you, and maybe determine what your future is, and what it was meant to be. Without a working TARDIS, it's the best I can do, for now.

Yes. I’d like to say goodbye to people if I can, but yeah. A lot of people suffered in my world for something that had nothing to do with them. It’s not right.

It’s still consulting though, isn’t it? You should be paid for service. Or at least an IOU.
