Well, I'm kind of glad I didn't wear a costume last night. That was crazy. There was a T-Rex. What the hell?

I mean, I got here after space. Before 50s Texas, though. I forget exactly when. I was kind of drunk most of the time and I don't remember much about the first few hours besides crippling depression and the belief that none of this was real I wasn't in the best place mentally when I showed up.

Maybe. Thankfully Eliot's in charge of Fillory. More than me, anyway.

I'm still practicing battle magic, but that's because it's difficult to do unless you bottle up your emotions. Okay, I haven't been practicing at all recently, but I meant to

Wait, so this Texas is what time?

Fillory?

You have to bottle up your emotions for battle magic? That seems unhealthy.

2017? I think.

Yeah. It was a place. It's...I guess like Narnia sort of. No one seems to know what I mean when I say Fillory, but Narnia, everyone understands.

Yeah. It's ended pretty poorly. Most of the time. All of the time.

Wow. It was 2002 for me.

Narnia, okay.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice something to get it to work.
