Polling the masses: best middle of nowhere location to visit. Preferably where people won't be too upset about a bunch of rocks getting blown up.

And spawning off of that, anyone want to check up on Batman for a week?

[Stark Solutions Employees]

I know a few of you are on adjusted hours anyways thanks to school, but congratulations! You're getting the week off. Still paid, so don't worry about that. And if you need to use any of the supplies or machines in the lab, it'll still be open to you. Just don't go too crazy with the experiments.

It put a few of those life swerve things into perspective.

We hadn't really gotten into the training part. For awhile it was more lots of 'don't hit metal man! metal man friend!' until he went grey. Now his mind is more a combo of Bruce and Hulk. Also, you have plenty more to offer, don't sell yourself short. And now that we got that pep talk out of the way, you ever flown in a suit before?

Huh. I wish I knew more about the science of the color change part. I wonder if it's part of how he became the other guy in general.

I'm supposed to cheering you up here... No. I've been carried by it more than I'd like to admit but never flown in it.

Honestly, me too. There's a radiation component to it, but I'm not sure if there's more there too on a psychological level.

Would you like to fly one? It'd be the easiest way to get someone remote without pulling in a teleporter and I have some spares.

Hmm. I injected myself with something sort of like super soldier serum but gamma radiation happened instead of the radiation Howard Stark actually used so.

There is little else you could have said that would seem so not the Tony from my reality as that statement.

Wow. Sure? But would they fit? But yes.

And there's a swerve. The whole Rick Jones thing? They were traveling together because Bruce found him on a test range and protected him from an explosion, but got caught in the blast range of the gamma radiation. He somehow absorbed it. The one time I met Bruce, he'd actually come to town to talk to my dad about a possible way to reverse the process. But dickhead Ross fucked it all up and the machine exploded. Hulk was grey after he was caught in that blast.

Interconnecting pieces. They have some give. Hulk might push it, but you should fit fine. I mean, Rhodey's definitely. Pep's was a bit more specialized, but Rhodey's is one of the old malleable armors.

That is quite the swerve. Wonder what was in the explosions both times but it's not really relevant to my condition as much. Though, if he thought he'd found a cure... that's something.

The other guy flying an ironman suit is an idea that might keep me from sleep later. But that sounds great. Tony's in my world didn't have that kind of malleable feature, or if it did he didn't tell me about it.

It looked like the process might work, but I'm not sure if it'd have the same effect with the super soldier serum involved. The machine basically absorbed the radiation out of him. It's something he and my dad had been working on pre-Hulk I guess.

I mean, it's not something I advertise a lot, but then also most people don't know I'm Iron Man, so it's just my friends who have access to the armor. And aside from the fact they save my ass more times than I'll ever admit, I seriously considered making it one size fits just me after Happy took the armor for a joyride, but then I'd need to recalibrate it every time I hit a growth spurt.

My own father was Howard Stark's contemporary, it's a bit bizarre thinking of myself as someone who would have interacted with him on that level. But if anyone could figure that out about my own situation it'd be him since he was who designed the radiation process for Steve's serum.

Happy is here?

That's a lot of things to hide about yourself.

That'd be the swerve in my timeline. My dad had nothing to do with Captain America. At least in his creation. He was born after the war, which... makes for differences...

Oh, no, that's all back home. The Happy part at least and not advertising the whole interchangable suits. Everyone knows about the Iron Man thing here between pop culture and the other Tonys. Not that any of my investors here believe it. They think it's just a funny coincidence.

And back home, hiding it was necessary. No one would've taken Iron Man seriously if they thought it was a teenager in the armor. And it would've just lead to a lot of backlash considering I could do so much in the suit that I couldn't as Tony Stark because my hands were tied legally. Plus I'm pretty sure if Nick Fury has figured out who I was sooner, he would've told Rhodey's mom and she would've grounded my ass for eternity.

Who changed Steve into Captain America or did he have a totally different origin story?

I hope not everyone knows about my own powers. That makes everything weird.

Sounds like the smart plan in your universe though. LOL on Rhodey's mom.

It's interesting that the investors here don't mind about your age? Though if this is in step with my old reality the whole tech genius starting up a business was a seemingly viable business model in and of itself.

I'm not sure about the who. All the history books focus more on the rah rah Cap than the actual science and I was... distracted when I was going through SHIELD's database about what they had of the serum...

Um... well....

You just don't mess with Rhodey's mom. She was Stark International's lawyer forever. So that shows you how tough she is.

Oh, they minded. They took a lot of convincing, but the tech speaks for itself. Plus I had plenty of experience trying to start out even younger while competing with two other Tony Starks. This is a piece of cake.

SHIELD has a working version of the serum in your universe? That's terrifying.

What?

Then she must be very tough indeed. I'd think your company needs the same kind of tenacious lawyers at Stark Enterprises did back at home.

Glad it's working out for you here. That's great that you can rebuild the company. Which, speaking of jobs, I'm still trying to figure out what to do with myself. Do you have any opinions on if I should go work at the university as a research professor? Look into working somewhere else?

Working is a bit much. At least what they had. The version I cooked up from their experiments works fine, but their attempt for a straight up Captain America brew was volatile at best.

You'd be right there. If just making sure all the loopholes in contracts are tied up tight.

It's a good start at least. I wish there was more I could do, but Iron Man's really not keeping a low profile in this world.

The university is nice from what I hear. Vi goes there. It's bigger than it used to be, so the facilities are better. Not that you'd need the facilities with your lab and all. But that's probably the best place around here if you're wanting research along with the whole teaching thing. There aren't too many big research places in this town.

You made a super soldier serum for them? Was that...safe? Our SHIELD back home was infiltrated by HYDRA.

I haven't taught in years, so it might be nice to give it a try again. I haven't had a lab in a couple years either so that'd be nice to have access to again as well here. If it doesn't work out I can get a different job in this world right? I want to feel like I'm helping in some way.

Thank you for your help.

I made one for myself to clean up the mess of their serum. But as far as I know, our SHIELD is as safe as a secret government organization can be. It's at least HYDRA free.

I'm sure it'll work out. The university seems to need plenty of people. And there's the high school for teaching too if it doesn't work out. And, well, for the pure research side, Stark Solutions could probably use some expansion.

That's good to hear. Though, we didn't know about ours until they tried to kill a large chunk of the population.

I posted about the University since you agreed with it. Thank you for your insight. If you ever need another pair of hands on your work I'm happy to help. I was a contractor with Tony's company back home. I used the money to fund my humanitarian projects in Kolkata.

I'd say me or Fury would notice, but the last place I was, HYDRA infiltrated SHIELD twice, so... Fingers crossed that my universe misses out on that. My grandson didn't mention anything about it, but then he was more focused on killing me and his future got changed anyways, so who knows.

An extra hand is always welcome and floating the idea by, but if you get a humanitarian hankering here and need funds, no contracting needed, just give me a poke and I'll look over the books to see what I can do.

You met your grandson? Here or in your universe? That's...bizarre. At least I know that shouldn't happen to me.

That's very generous of you Tony. I appreciate it. Tony in my world helped me with his foundation too. It made it easier to get things set up. We'll see what needs are here. I feel like I don't have a feel for the area yet.

Well, just let me know if you have some things you want a physicist or gamma expert to look over.

My universe. And a possibility of a grandson at least. Which is even more bizarre when he's in his mid-twenties and I wasn't even 18 yet.

It's the least I can do. I've already got a science fair scholarship program going and been helping out with the hospital a bit. But there's always more to do.

Well... speaking of physicist. There are frequency readings in regards to the portal that brings us here that you could look over.

I think that's sort of comforting though. It means there's a possible happy ending somewhere that one version of you got to have. That'd give me some measure of hope, I think.

You've got a good heart. The Tony in my universe does too, even if most people can't see that about him.

You're the one working on that? I'd love to help analyze that.

Comforting in some ways. Brain breaking in others considering my dating woes and here comes this red-headed grandson. Not so comforting in the whole his mission being to kill me to prevent the world ending.

After all the work to fix it, it had to be a good one.

One of the ones. I was working on it with my dad when he was here, but, well, most it ever got was being able to pin point better who might be coming through the portals.
