I daresay I almost missed the constant thrum of insanity weaving through our growing collective. Not enough to join in on it, however. Provided I can help it.

Let this be a lesson to many of you, that a funhouse is neither fun nor a house, least of all when placed within our close proximity.

You can say that again.

And how were you directly or indirectly affected?

Indirectly. A couple of friends got older, got younger, turned to legos. In particular, Baelfire grew up to become Neal.

And then my fiance disappeared this weekend.

The worst of those instances being the latter, I imagine.

I am sorry to hear that, Emma. Genuinely.

I wouldn't say it was the worst.

The fiance's disappearance was worse.

For what it's worth, I do hope he returns as swiftly as he departed.

He's come and gone so many times. I'll find him. I always do.

I suspect that you will.

Is there anything I can do for you? Perhaps assist with something at the precinct again?

The precinct is a lot bigger this time around, so you're welcome to join up if you want. Bigger town, more crime. Not quite the stuff you're used to, but still.

Why might that be? Have you a fascination with unexpected changes?

It wasn't evil alien invasion or fighting bad guys who are trying to hurt your friends and take over the world. It was harmless and temporary.

That is an especially positive take on the incident.

It wasn't that negative an incident? If that's the worst thing that happens to me here, I'll consider myself lucky.

In this instance, I would imagine everyone's definition of a 'negative incident' would be decidedly divided. Indeed it was far more preferable than a Snow Queen freezing those of us displaced, however, I would imagine myself as lucky for being wholly unaffected at all.

That's fair. I kinda wish I could've turned back to normal and had a chance to be a lego.

I am in the business of being fair and just. What is your name, then, Mr. Lego?

Every day occurrences for you, I imagine. You did not, then, partake in the funhouse, I trust.

I tried to keep normal people away from it. You know, stopping them from going in by asking them for directions. Annoyingly. Until they forgot about it.

Badgering others into forgetfulness, that is a wise tactic. Well done.

It was that or watch them stumble in and out and try to find out where they live. You saw how many of US went in there.

It is remarkable anyone took a chance, though not entirely surprising. Normal people hope. I simply doubt.

Most of us are curious, headstrong people. I'm not really surprised.

Indeed. Curiosity, while not a trait to be condemned, does not always lead to ideal outcomes.
