It would immediately know your weaknesses and best how to use you to its own ends. Absolutely no one can beat Suzaku. [Hand on his shoulder.] I know it was harsh of me to do that so quickly. But it would only make our survival more difficult.

Fletcher, listen. [Gentle big bro voice here.] Sometimes we have to do things like that make sure we can survive. I know it's asking a lot for you to trust me right now, but that's what I need you to do. I know you're confused without your big brother around, and sometimes I might have to do things that scare you, but believe me when I say that if it weren't absolutely necessary to our survival, I wouldn't have to do it, alright?
