Ari had been in the environment of the house for several months now. She'd seen people come, go, and come back again. Then go. Nothing seemed concrete and she was always fighting for her independence to go check all of it out. But Cara and prudence often seemed to interfere. Seeing Cody on the comms had been startling to say the least. She had almost grown familiar enough with this place to not expect anything strange. Which was most likely the reason they'd plucked Cody from her reality and his and plunked him into this place. This horrible house.
She stood a long moment, taking in the reality that he was standing there. She'd never expected to see anyone from her life again. Except Cara because her sister was here too, as impossible as that seemed. Her eyes were wide, her hands outstretched slightly as she mumbled, "Hey, Cody?"
