Well, they wanted my tac suit - which I was wearing - so don't be so sure just yet.

Hence my advice to avoid them.

I'm sure they'd be insulted to hear that. I more meant that we're not exactly in their normal niche of customers. That, and they're materialized video games, and those are rarely good for you.

Machines connected to televisions that host different types of games. The picture is projected onto the screen of the TV, and the player uses some sort of device to control the activity to the characters on the screen.

Unless, of course, someone decides that it'd be more fun to put real people into the plots of the games. As has apparently happened to us.

There was an AI. Murphy could tell you more. She was getting into people's minds via a chip they swallowed. There was a place called the City of Light where everyone's minds converged-- at least that's how my friend explained it.

If you say so. Sounds to me like it could.

In this situation, though, we're dealing with people entirely separate universes being brought together in a reality that combines several fictional worlds into one. Fictional worlds now designed to sustain us, as if we ourselves are computer programs. I've never seen an AI with power like that. Have you?

Only if it's an AI. I don't believe it is. I've had a run-in with one capable of destroying the majority of earth's population, and even he was bound to one reality. What we're speaking of here is likely a being beyond anything we've seen before.
