Teddy nodded but didn't reply, too busy cutting down branches. Some of them were quite loud on their way down while others barely made any noise at all as though got caught in other branches lower down. He finally had to shoot a strong gust of wind to knock them free, blowing away quite a few leaves in the meantime.
The sun finally began to break through the trees, a beam of light aimed straight at a corner of the cottage. Teddy examined the angle and, satisfied, continued to cut down branches, widening the gap.
A few moments later, Teddy turned to look at Scorpius's progress and noticed... the house was melting.
The house was melting! Forget the bells, this was wonderful!
His eyes widened and he whispered as loudly as he could at Scorpius to look, but of course he didn't hear him. How could he, from across the clearing? Anyway, this was progress and Teddy wasn't going to question it. Encouraged, he worked faster at cutting down the trees, aiming for the rear wall, for the kitchen and the row of cages he'd seen.
