Still hallucinating? Scorpius was trying to tune in to what Teddy was asking him, he knew it was important, but the lingering spectre of his ex-boyfriend, leaning against a tree, still trying to coax him further, was more than a little distracting.
That, combined with the silent fear coursing through him, meant he could do little but nod uselessly when Teddy pointed out that they needed to come up with some kind of strategy. Or rather, asked him what strategy he thought they needed, expecting him to have some response that wasn't just standing there lamely.
"I'm not sure," he eventually admitted, his voice betraying his nerves. He gulped, his eyes flicking upwards as he searched his brain for something, anything better. As he looked up he caught sight of the trees and suddenly remembered what Tracey had said.
"Daylight," he said, and then repeated it again, suddenly far more energised. "Daylight -- we need to use the bells and the light." He paused to gather his thoughts. "We cut through the foliage with our wands, then one of us goes in the front with the bells to distract her. The other goes round the back to get them out." He gulped. He wasn't qualified for this. But somebody had to do it.
