Lisa had started putting a small braid in her hair while Tonks thought about what she had just said. She couldn't help but jump to the worst conclusions while silence fell between them. What if she had read Tonks wrong and she didn't approve of women being with women and not only was she not going to get advice but Tonks was going to kick her out and then she would have lost one of her friends here and a place to live and she would have to go camp in the forest-
By the time Tonks made her suggestion, Lisa's eyes were wide and she was holding a breath that left all at once as soon as the other woman's words sunk in. "Right! Yeah, I mean-" She caught her bottom lip between her teeth for a few seconds, trying to climb out of the spiral she had put herself through.
"I just don't know how? I mean, Dominique is... she's so light and lovely, you know? I guess I'm just scared," she murmured, her gaze fixated on the thread that Tonks was playing with. "I don't like the uncertainty."
