"Not intended for consumption". Really? On a bottle of lotion?

This world is suffering from an overpopulation problem. Please consider not contributing to it in the future, should you by chance survive that long.

Unless you adjust your current trajectory, you may find yourself with no say in the matter.

Kids are dumb as all hell. Besides, I think it's a legal requirement. Like when coffee cups warn you the drink'll be hot.

Please tell me this is some sort of joke.

Nope. None of it is. I'm unfortunately dead serious. I've raised a kid and he's still an idiot at 25. He's going to be in for a rough surprise when his body stops acting like rubber. And the legal thing, it's to cover your back so someone can't purposefully burn themselves and then claim "It was your responsibility to inform me it would be hot!" in order to get money.

Perhaps young mortals are more foolish than I remember.

What self-destructive opportunism. I continue to be astounded by this world's legal system.

They're not that foolish. Making mistakes comes with the the territory of being young. Kids are going to do dumb stuff like eat lotion and drink things that are too hot. It's part of life. I just affectionally call Iker an idiot. He's quiet smart all things considered.

People are crafty. When you live in a world where money makes it turn you'll do what ever you can to get it from others.

If eating lotion is not what you consider foolish, then pray tell. What meets your threshold? Intelligence and idiocy need not be mutually exclusive.

Hm. This economy-centered system is growing increasingly weary.

Oh no I consider it dumb as all hell, I'm just saying kids will do dumb shit. I never ate lotion as a kid but I sure did burn myself a lot. My threshold is pretty much anything that you see your kid do that you go "oh gods." or "where's the fucking camera?" cause you know it's going to be something you tease them about later.

It always is.

I can't say that I can relate to those sentiments. I would be more inclined to expect such behaviors from daevas who know themselves to be armored against permanent deaths. Not mortals who ought to be aware of their own fragility. But far be it from my place to further judge the reckless actions of others.

Have you ever raised a kid? They think themselves to be tiny gods because they've never experiences a near death. Basically, when you're four you have no idea of your own mortality.

Never. And I never will, so long as I exist.

The thought process is one I would rarely assume of mortals, however, I don't doubt that it exists in other populations. As evidenced by our lotion-drinking friend above.

Each to their own.

Some people take longer than others to grow up. At least he's not drink bleach or eating soap. On that note I should learn poison control's number.

Hey, if they stuck a warning on it, that means someone's got to have done it before. And then sued them.

I would have thought the idea preposterous until I was graced with a live example.

Explain what you mean by "sued".

Yeah, sometimes people do stupid things.

Um. I guess like... Okay, so if you sue someone, it'd be like, going to court and having a lawyer fight for your legal right to make them... I guess, pay you for damages and stuff. Like if someone crashed your car or something, you could take them to court and tell the judge and show them what the damage was and then the judge could be like, "okay! Pay up!" to the person that fuck you over.
