Amy was so sure that she was dead. Being dead was surprisingly warm, actually. Being dead was surprisingly warm, and actually kind of wet around her feet. She sat up quickly, opened her eyes, and if this was Heaven - or Hell, it was actually more likely that she was in hell - then Heaven looked an awful lot like a beach. Weird. She wiggled her feet a little, staring as the waves lapped over them gently, and she could definitely feel the water around her ankles. If she were dead, surely she wouldn't be able to feel things right?

"Doctor?" She yelled as she stood up slowly, stretching out as her joints ached and cracked from too long spent in one position. She winced slightly, rubbed the back of her head and took a moment to really take in her surroundings. She was on a beach, with a weird stone mountain out in the waters near it. There were trees that eerily reminded her of the oxygen factory on Byzantium, and that alone was more than enough to convince her to stay away from them. She walked long the beach slowly, looking around for signs of life as she plodded through the sand slowly. She took off her waterlogged shoes after a few metres, slinging them over her shoulder and holding onto the laces.

"Doctor? Doctor are you there?" She shouted out again as she moved closer to the trees that met the sand. She stood by the edge, looking around carefully, but didn't go in. She had spent enough time with the Doctor to know that a dark scary forest meant trouble, and while trouble usually attracted to her, now that she was on her own again she felt much more apprehensive. The thought terrified her, and more importantly triggered her very stubborn side. The Doctor was not the end-all be-all of her life. She could make it just fine until he found her again. He always did, after all. She straightened up her shirt, sucked in a quick breath for some kind of courage, and then walked into the woods with one purpose: to find some people, and get in contact with The Doctor.

Sookie was on her way down to the water to try her hand at fishing. Again. She failed at it every time but she had to try again. She was tired of game meat and wouldn't mind some fish. She wasn't watching where she was going and ran right into someone new. She jumped, "Oh goodness, I'm sorry. I just wasn't paying attention. You're new..."

She stuck her hand out. "I'm Sookie Stackhouse, welcome to this...whatever this is. What's your name?"

Amy was more focused on looking for the Doctor than anything else, and when she ran into someone she let out a little yelp of shock. Staring at the girl with wide eyes, Amy pressed a had to her chest and let out a slow exhale of breath before shaking her head.

"Warn a girl, will you?" She exclaimed, Scottish accent even more prominent in the state of fear and confusion that appearing on a beach in the middle of nowhere would do to a person, "Sorry. I'm..yeah, I suppose I'm new. Amy Pond."

She shook Sookie's hand a little awkwardly, then glanced around them again quickly before looking at her and dropping her voice slightly, "So, I'm not dead, right? This isn't some kind of after life?"

"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention." Sookie smiled at her. "No, I'm fairly certain the only dead ones here are the vampires. I heard you yelling for someone named Doctor?"

Sookie was curious if there was another one with her. "This place is kind of weird, just so you know. When I got here it was covered in snow."

"Yes, the Doctor, have you seen him?" Amy perked up instantly, gesturing as she spoke, "He's about this tall, skinny guy in a suit, wears a bow tie? He thinks it's cool. It's not cool."

She looked around her again, as if she expected the Doctor to stroll right up to her there and then. The beach was still just as empty as when she arrived, however, save for the blonde girl that she was now talking to. Amy sighed and chewed on her lower lip a little before pausing and looking at Sookie curiously, "Sorry, did you say vampires? Vampires don't exist."

Sookie looked a little taken aback. "A bow tie? People wear bow ties where you're from?" She chuckled. "No one like that here, I promise you."

Sookie bit her lip, how did she explain it? "Yes, Vampires exist, I'm dating one. At least where I am from they exist. This island pulls people from all sorts of worlds and different points in time. It's fucking weird."

"Not people, just him. Trust me, no one else is that mad," A fond smile crossed her face, only to falter quite quickly as Sookie confirmed that she hadn't seen anyone fitting that description on the island. Still, the Doctor always found her. She wouldn't give up yet. "Well, if you see anyone like him here can you tell him that Amy is looking for him? I'm sure he'll end up here sooner or later." Hopefully sooner, rather than later.

"The island brings them here?" she perked up a bit, immediately curious. Different time streams weren't exactly a new concept to her - the vampire thing seemed a bit far fetched, but she could always look into it a little, maybe see if it was something similar to Venice. "That is weird. Anything can happen though. There's not any...aliens here, are there? Sounds crazy I know, but they're real. Trust me on that one."

"Aliens? Well, I'll believe you on aliens if you believe me on vampires." Sookie smiled at her. "Come on, I'll walk you to the village, so you can see who's who."

She grinned when Bjorn, the polar bear, walked over and head butted her. "Hello, Bjorn." She kissed his head and smiled at Amy. "This is our resident polar bear, I don't know where his elven friend is. He usually translates everything for me from the bare."

Sookie did a quick scan with her brain of Amy, just to make sure she was human.
