Who: Edward and open
Where: Wardrobe
What: Getting an acceptable outfit
When: The morning after his arrival
Warnings: None
He'd woken up alone, which wasn't all that surprising; George might be a spiffing fellow, but he didn't have time to just hang about. He was a prince, after all. He pulled himself out of bed and looked around for a basin to wash in. Nothing. And there wasn't a bell to ring for a servant. There might not be any servants. His eyes widened at the thought. What was he to do?
He bit his lip. It wouldn't do to panic. He could manage. He pulled on his new pink trousers and frowned. He still didn't have a shirt. That certainly wasn't proper. He pulled on George's jacket, which the man had left, gratefully. He'd obviously remembered that Edward didn't have proper attire. And the coat still smelled of the other man, which made him feel less alone.
He picked up his teddy bear of the bed and held it for a moment. "Right, Tedders, I'm off. I'll need you to stay here and guard the fort, so to speak, all right?" He smiled and set the bear carefully down on the bed, then made his way out into the halls.
He thought he remembered the way back to that magnificent room full of clothing. They hadn't come very far when looking for a room for him. After just a few wrong turns, he found the place and stood, looking around for a long moment.
