To Tyrion, fighting from such long range all the time sounded like a mass act of hesitation. Just how disconnected were these people from warfare that they could fight from afar, kill from afar? Or perhaps it was worse than that? Tyrion did not know. He only knew of the battles he had fought in, the battles he had read about in countless books.
"Perhaps we should talk about something else" he said. "I was never very good at war" he said with a slight sideways smile. "So... Sonya Blade. Besides being a soldier, what else are you?" he asked. Some soldiers were just soldiers or became nothing more than soldiers. They lost their identity to keep themselves sane, at least, some of them did. Others let it become them. Others were simply born for it. Tyrion was not. He was born to think and outwit.
