She kept pounding at the blade, wanting to work out some of the heat before plunging it in the water.
"I'm pretty skilled with a knife and bayonet. Sometimes rounds will jam or the enemy will get in too close, so the rifle's made that it cam be tipped with a dagger and used to beat or stab at an enemy." And for a metal weapon, that could be pretty sharp.
"Never tried with an axe or mace, not exactly army issued weapons, nor a shield, just body armor." And even then there was no guarantee on protection. "Most warfare where I'm from is done with the use of cover and long range weapons, and shields wouldn't hold up."
