Sirius stared at Remus, his heart fluttering wildly. Remus loved. Georgous, intelligent, amazing Remus Lupin loved him back. It was overwhelming, incredible, more than he'd ever hoped for. And for what felt like the hundredth time this week, Sirius began to cry. He could feel the tears tracing patterns down his cheeks, and couldn't help laughing.
"Merlin," he wiped at his eyes, half laughing half sobbing, and shook his head. "Remus," he laughed again, almost completely incoherent with joy. Remus loved him.
"This is mad, eh? Completely mental. I never thought you would, I mean, I knew how I felt, but I thought you were straight! I never dreamed you would, that you even could love me back. And now all I want to do is snog you senseless, but I'm so fucking scared and I..." he stopped, biting back another sob. "I'm such a mess," he whispered. "I don't know how you put up with me."
