Remus felt his stomach wrenching as he listened to Sirius detail the events that took place after he left with Lucius Malfoy the night of the ball. It made him sick to think that Malfoy was capable of such disgusting behavior. It was one thing to be a pompous, rich snob, but to be a rapist? It made Remus angry, and while he wasn't usually one to get outwardly upset (with the exception of his monthly mood swings due to the moon's cycle), he was fuming. Merlin help him if he saw Lucius the next morning.
He didn't want to open up old wounds, but sometimes that raw emotion was exactly what was needed in order to bring out the truth in situations. Remus' eyes widened when Sirius clung to him, but he wrapped his arms around him and held him, wanting him to know without any doubt that he would be there for him.
"The voices," he said, trying to focus on what happened after Malfoy's actions. "Do you remember anything they said? Anything at all? A word, a sound, the tone of voice. Anything." He nuzzled the other boy's hair and breathed in his scent.
