Rules of the Manor:
1) Duelling and dark magic are all restricted due to wards within/surrounding the Manor. Guards are posted at every room/corridor.
2) Along that vein, all non-human beings [minus house-elves] are restricted from entering.
3) Gardens and public areas are open to guests.
4) Dinner is served at 8 pm.
5) Dancing begins at 6 pm and continues through the night. Music consists of waltzes, tangos, and the occasional swing piece.
6) Voldemort will make his appearance right before dinner, around 7:45 pm.

Narcissa bristled as Rita would not let the subject go. What was it with this woman and needing to know "the truth"? Why did it matter so much? She glanced over at the woman hanging on her arm, trying to keep her disposition cool. She knew she would read into any kind of physical response and use that in a story whether Narcissa confirmed or denied anything. Perhaps that would actually be the best idea?

Still, despite her need to keep a calm exterior, her eyes flashed when she mentioned Severus. It was still a sore subject for her, being rejected and left behind for a stupid mudblood! She was beginning to wish her sister had not returned the student after all. She cleared her throat, looking out among the guests once more. "Severus and I are not together. Perhaps we were at one time, but we were never official. I could never be with someone of that blood standing. You must understand after all." She gave Rita a knowing look; anyone of lesser blood purity simply would not do! "As to myself and Lucius, there is no relationship there either. I find myself sadly single." Well, it was true in a way. She and Lucius had made no official statements of being a couple and this was not the place (or person) to state otherwise.

Finally! Some answers. "Oh yes yes. I see I see." She hummed thoughtfully. "Interesting." These were not all the answers, of course. There was obviously something between her and Malfoy... she'd find out what it was without a doubt. But as for the boy, Snape. At least that story was put to rest. She'd have to write a little snippet about how he ditched Black for a taken Mudblood girl. Silly boy.

Rita let out a laugh as she finally released the other, still planning on staying close, but in another form, once the chance presented itself. "I find boys get in the way of getting work done. You're a bright girl Nessa! You don't have time to fuss about with men. After all. 7th year is coming up for you isn't? Gotta focus on those NEWTS, after all. Once that's all done with, then you can flitter about with the men folk."

Yes, you'd know a lot about being single. The thought was enough to bring a smirk to the young girls face, but she kept her thoughts to herself. "Yes, you're quite right Rita," she said, nodding her head in approval. "I suppose I must look to my studies instead of keeping my head in the clouds." She gave her an appreciative smile before turning her head to look for her sister.

"I must excuse myself," she said, turning back to the blonde reporter. "Make the rounds with the family." She nodded her head in a goodbye. "It was a nice chat nonetheless. Have a fun time Rita." She gave her a smile before turning around and looking for someone else to occupy her time.
