Despite the promise of it being a light relationship, Riona couldn't help but look forward to Amycus' return that Sunday. She had stayed in the common room all day, hoping he would return sooner rather than later. She had a book in her lap, although the words seemed to get muddled together and she had been reading the same line over and over again. Still, she hadn't shut the book, instead her mind drifting here and there on various subjects.
She blinked and looked up as Amycus spoke to her, realizing how lost she had become in her thoughts. A smile broke across her face and she shut the book, taking his good hand and pulling him down closer to her. "You took me by surprise," she said. "You didn't give me a chance to make any noise. Unless you'd like me to scream with delight now?" She laughed, moving over in the chair so he could sit with her.
"So how was the trip?" she asked, leaning against him. "Hopefully better than you had expected?"
