Someone else might never have noticed the tears, but Sirius had made watching Remus an art form. He knew all the signs, and he didn't miss them. He pushed himself up with only minor difficulty and wrapped Remus in his arms.
"It's going to be alright now." He held on as tightly as he could, wanting Remus to know he was there, to know he could cry if he needed to. Merlin knew Sirius had done enough crying in the last few weeks. "I swear, everything is going to be better."
