Lily gritted her teeth against the pain and refused to say it. She would not say that of all the things...Yet there was that pain, the one that seemed like her spine was being ripped from her body. She convulsed again, causing her to bleed even more and her whole body responded. She hit her head against the pavement, not helping her growing headache.
When she paused long enough for Lily to speak, she found she could do nothing more than just lay there, panting.
