Remus attempted to stay awake, but he'd dozed off while reading. His book lay across his chest, his head propped up on the headboard but tilted slightly as he'd slipped off into a light slumber. He'd stirred a little when Sirius woke up but it hadn't been enough to rouse him. It was James' voice and the sound of him hurrying around the room that pulled Remus back into consciousness.
He sat up and opened his curtains. Realization struck him then of what this meant. Sirius was wandering off as he'd claimed to have done before. Mixed feelings stirred within him; if he'd slept in Sirius' bed he might've been able to coax him back to sleep, but by not doing so they could at least follow him and try to figure out what was going on. He wasn't sure that either action set well with him, so he just got up and put on his shoes and fished out a jumper to throw on over his pajamas. "Let's be off, then."
