It wasn't late yet, but James had already settled into bed, hoping to rest his weary eyes for a bit. No such thing would be happening tonight, it seemed, as he heard some minor rustling noises. James poked his head through his curtains, blearily watching as Sirius moved about the dorm room. Brows lowered in question, but he didn't say a word, merely watched Sirius leave with odd movements.
Soon as his friend was out the door, James shot up to his feet and tugged on a longer pair of pants over his sleeping ones. The invisibility cloak was dug out of his trunk and his wand was tossed over it. He'd have to hurry up if he didn't want to lose Sirius — until he realised.
"...the Map!" It wasn't shouted, but it wasn't very quiet either. Cursing himself, he figured that he should tell his mates anyway. James went to Peter's and Remus's four posters respectively. It wasn't that late, so maybe they weren't asleep. He let that thought follow him as he impatiently got their attention in any way that he could.
"C'mon you prats, Sirius is on the move!" he'd hissed, blurry vision not helping matters any while he prodded about at his mates.
