Katie made bad decisions when she was drunk. It was evidently a pattern these days and she had to admit that she should probably lay off the celebratory drinking. Ugh. Letting her heads drop in her hands, she shifted on the hard bench. Racing with Oliver had probably been one of the worst decisions she'd made lately. She'd just been so bloody happy that things had shifted back to where they were before they'd slept together. It felt... normal and right and she had been craving that. She'd been worrying over everything that had happened between them and last night had just been so bloody normal and it'd been perfectly wonderful. The tension that had been between them had evaporated with each drink and suddenly everything was fine.
Of course, after he'd broken his collar bone and she'd been checked out for her own injuries, they decided that making an example would be a good idea. Oliver was in the hospital and Katie was sitting in the drunk tank. Fuck. This was bad. Her PR rep had already been notified as had her agent. She was fairly certain they'd take care of it and as this wasn't the norm for her... well, maybe she'd get off lightly in the papers or they'd manage to keep it hushed up. Of course, the hitwizards seemed to get a kick out of it and kept asking her for autotgraphs. She'd obliged, being friendly and nice so as no to have any other bad mouthing spread around.
Now, why she'd decided to owl Marcus to come get her was beyond her. She hadn't wanted to bother Ali. Not in the middle of the night. George was on the continent and Lexi and Clint were in their little bubble. Somehow, Marcus had managed to bump himself to the top of her list. Hearing footsteps, the hitwizard opened the cell.
"You're set Bell," he said, giving her an amused grin.
Katie stood up and smiled. "Thanks Ridgeway," she said, shaking his hand. "I'll get those tickets to you."
Ridgeway grinned and nodded, shaking her hand. Merlin. She was hot. "Don't worry. We'll keep it quiet for you."
Katie laughed and glanced at Marcus, giving him an apologetic look. "Hey," she said, stuffing her hands in her pocket, heading towards him. "Sorry..."
