"Of course you are," she said, stabbing into her fish, dipping it in mustard and taking a bite. She grinned at the thought of them sending a poached pear to her house for Marcus. That idea alone was bloody hysterical. "They probably did. Pretty sure there was a not attached but I think one of my friends ate my chocolate cheesecake." She grinned at him, reaching up to wipe a bit of tarter sauce off the corner of his lip with her thumb. "You know. I haven't had chocolate since I got out of the hospital." It was a rather telling and shocking statement if she was honest. "It's quite tragic, really. It seems fitting I'm having it with you." She wasn't sure why but she rather liked that. Having feelings for Marcus Flint was a new experience in and of itself. Admitting and acknowledging them was something else entirely. It took some adjusting too.
Katie grinned as his stomach growled and she shook her head. "Later," she said, eyes lighting up mischievously. She wasn't at all adverse to a little bit of snogging on Marcus's couch. But, her stomach seemed to agree with his and began its own demands for sustenance. Taking another bite of cod, both Marcus and Katie knew she was going to steal a bite or two from his Poached Pear. It was bound to happen.
Letting out a sigh of disgust at that thought, she nodded. "I know," she replied, stabbing violently at her fish. "It's been four days and I'm going stir crazy. I have no outlet. I'm not allowed to run. Hiking is too slow and I don't expend enough energy." She stabbed at the cod again, taking another bite. "If I don't find some way to deal with all this... I might end up going crazy. If I haven't already." She finished off her dinner, quietly thinking about what it was she was going to do if they didn't let her back in the air soon. It was as if her memories of Marcus had opened up a lot.
She balled up her paper, easily tossing it into the rubbish bin before pulling the chocolate cheesecake towards her. Taking a bite, she sighed. "So perfect," she muttered, enjoying the explosion of the semi-sweet chocolate. Holding out a piece for Marcus to taste.
After they finished their meal, Katie found herself stretched out, Marcus playing with her hair as her head rested on his lap. She was tired and exhausted and he was half asleep as well, shifting her off him, Marcus stretched out, pulling Katie down next to him, her head on his chest, arm wrapped tightly around her. An unconscious kiss to her hair had her smiling, entwining her legs with his as she dozed off, happily content right where she was. It was the first time she'd felt right in days.
