She hugged him back and then held him at arm's distance. He really looked so much different, but at the same time there was a note of familiarity there that she found comforting. She grinned when he teased her about playing the scary older brother.
"Oh, you won't have to worry about that. I think I'm done with boys for a while. I just want to focus on rebuilding my life and making something of myself." She shrugged slightly and pointed to the last of her baggage on the carousel. Once they had it, they began the walk out to the car.
"Yeah, I miss her, too." She gave Zachary a smile of her own and then took his hand while they walked, hoping to comfort him a little. She knew he had truly loved her grandmother, and all of her children and grandchildren, despite not being blood related to them.
