"I see..." Letha murmured. "Someone had told you to expect a visit from me, then?" That would be understandable, if the other woman had spoken to someone in the SdV family or someone else that Letha herself had spoken to; Letha always made sure to speak to every vampire that came into the city, to offer them a home, or at least a friend. She held no ill will towards anyone who didn't want to be part of SdV, she just wanted other vampires to know they didn't have to be alone.
The poor girl was nervous and Letha wasn't making it easy on her; though making her feel unease was not her intention. Maybe the girl was hungry, as far as Letha was aware the girl hadn't gone to feed; not that she had someone watching the poor girl all the time she just knew that no one had been attacked and no one had told Letha a new vamp had fed off them or anything of the sort.
"Marie, isn't it?" She asked, already knowing but the woman hadn't given her name. Yeah, she was nervous and Letha planned to help soothe those nerves. "It is lovely to meet you," she put a smile on her face, something rare for her, but this situation called for one.
"How about the kitchen?" She asked, holding the basket up. "I brought you a gift, one that you should refrigerate so it doesn't go bad," she mentioned as she headed towards the kitchen. "Do you have your glasses unpacked? Perhaps we can have a drink together and you can tell me a little bit about yourself, or ask questions or anything," she offered.
