Anais was feeling completely refreshed after the full moon and was actually excited for the next one to come around. It had been a completely different and new experience not being on her own but it was one she did not regret. It was something she was going to savor and treasure and would love to repeat so long as Liliana had no problem with her tagging along with her. She didn't think that she would, but still she wasn't just going to assume anything without asking her about it. Not that it really mattered at the moment, she had a while before the next full moon, so plenty enough time to talk to Liliana about it. At the moment, however, she was busy clearing down the kitchen after a long night. It hadn't been especially busy tonight so instead of time flying by, it dragged on with big periods of her actually doing nothing. It made her even more grateful to finally be getting out of there more ready than anything to be at home lounging around on her couch before heading to bed. She waved goodbye to the last of her coworkers as they left, Anais still in the kitchen checking over a few supplies to make some notes for what was going to need to be ordered on Friday. Even though it was something that she could have done Friday morning, since she had the time she figured she'd try to get it out of the way. Friday was one of their busier days so leaving one less thing to do meant everyone could leave earlier, something she knew they'd all appreciate. Finally walking outside, Anais wasn't surprised to find the parking lot almost completely deserted. It had taken her a little longer than she thought to do the mini inventory but she wasn't bothered. She typically walked home alone so this was nothing new for her. Starting her trek, she walked at a leisurely pace, her mind a bit preoccupied still thinking of the full moon run and her initial run in with Val. She had wanted to blame all that on the full moon messing with her but even now that her need had been fulfilled she still actually found herself thinking about him and possibly getting the chance to see him again. She just wasn't exactly sure how to go about that in a casual sort of manner. That she was going to have to work on somehow. Even with as lost in her thoughts as she was, her senses didn't fail her and she could hear and smell him approach before he had even gotten close to her. At first she thought he was just going to pass her but then his steps slowed and she was on high alert. Before he could reach out to grab her she turned on him and saw the gun he was brandishing. Her abrupt turn startled him, but did nothing to deter him. "Ayo, bitch, gimme yo purse unless you wanna die," His words were spat hastily as he gestured for her to turn over her purse with one hand, finger on the trigger with the other. It left Anais with a choice to make as she stood there, looking at the man but not actually fearful of him. When she had initially heard someone coming upon her, all she could think was the worst, that it was a hunter or a member of HASK to come and take her away. She never once considered the fact that it could have been an ordinary criminal targeting her simply because she was female and out late at night, not because she was a were. It only occurred to her then that she had never actually been robbed before or really accosted at all by someone. Being overly concerned about were threats apparently aided her in avoiding all the threats she could face by just being a woman. "Ain't you hear me bitch? You want me to bust a fuckin cap in yo ass? Hand. Over. The. Purse." The thief demanded reaching forward and cocking the gun in his hand. Anais looked to the gun briefly, doubting that it had silver bullets in it, but wasn't sure she really wanted to take the chance. Regardless she wasn't exactly trying to be shot, despite the fact that she would heal. Deciding to simply pretend to be helpless she handed over her purse, watching him as he snatched it away from her. Now that he got what he wanted Anais assumed he would be on his way but she was wrong. For doing what he asked her what did she get? Smacked in the face with the butt of his gun. The sudden action actually took her by surprise, knocking her off her feet as he ran away. She was only down for a moment, fingers feeling the side of her head where a gash was quickly healing itself. Looking up in the direction the criminal had headed Anais tensed. She had been completely prepared to walk away from this, lesson learned but with that one action of his, he changed everything. With a new found anger flowing through her, Anais ran toward the closest building, scaling it and running across the roof in the direction she could smell the thief had ran before leaping to the next one as she continued to track him. She now didn't care what it took, she was going to find him and she was going to get her purse back. |
