His life had been particularly busy as of late. Of course, that was mostly due to the fact that his life was a mess and, rather than trying to clean it up, he had just been covering it with piles of other things to distract himself. Not that he was going to admit to that. Ever. Still, when he'd arrived at the Ministry that morning, he'd found the pile of paperwork he'd left on his desk the night before. Plopping down in his chair, Harry groaned and let his head fall to hit stack of papers in front of him. There really wasn't any clean space available to bang his head off of, so the papers would have to do.
He briefly wondered if it was acceptable to just crawl under his desk and catch a nap without anyone noticing. Opening his eyes, he stared at the floor between his feet blindly. After a few long moments, his eyes focused on a small square of neon green paper. A sticky note. Frowning he reached down and picked it up, having must have knocked it off his desk when he'd sat down.
Meeting w/ Ainsley. 9am.
This wouldn't really have been that big of a deal had it not been ten minutes past the hour. Shooting up from his desk, he scrambled to grab the paperwork he needed before rushing away from his desk and toward the meeting he'd quite obviously forgotten all about. Scanning through the forms in his hand, he ran through the information he was suppose to be reporting on, though the more he tried to remember it the less he could actually recall.
Reaching the department in question, he blindly reached for the door to what he assumed was Ainsley's office and pulled it open. Walking through it, he didn't expect the step he missed. Nor did he expect the following stairs on his way down. "Bloody hell," he groaned, laying at the bottom for a moment, papers strewn all about. He laid their for a moment doing a mental check that everything was still attached, before opening his eyes. Rather than the exasperated face of a senior Auror, he found himself staring up into a canopy of trees.
"What in the hell?" he muttered, twisting around into a sitting position and ignoring the bumps and bruises from his less than graceful tumble.
