Jack laughed at Micah. "Can't accept it, can you? Your point is blown, and you can't let it go. Give up the ghost. You're looking pretty pathetic with it." he said. Then he looked at Patrick and Lochlan. "You still here?" he asked, since they both were going to leave. He knew the brick wall that was Patrick's tone. It was the grown up equivalent of sticking his fingers in his ears and going 'la la la!' over and over. So, he could fuck off then. Go do his own thing.
He nodded to Justin, since his advice about staying clear of loved ones on the full moon was sound advice, and he backed that.
He had to refocus on Micah, however. "And asshole, now you're just putting people in danger with some fairytale that there isn't anything out there to fight. Fuck you there isn't. Jesus christ, I haven't even been stuck in this dome long and I don't even want to know the number on the bodies that have been dropping since the lockdown. So you're either blind or painfully naive. Don't even try selling that to people who were just attacked by vicious animals and woke up being able to tell what nurse was coming down the hall by her perfume. Don't you dare feed bullshit like that to anyone here. It's beyond insulting."
Jack glanced to Eli. "Don't let anyone tell you different, kid. The world is a scary place. Dome or no dome."
