Albel was frankly stunned by how accurately Lavi repeated his own phrase back to him, complete with Albel's exact intonation and accent. He sounded like he actually spoke Elicoorian, but Albel knew that wasn't the case. How good is his memory, anyway? he wondered.
He repeated the english words, probably mangling them himself, then glanced around for more words to teach him. While these weren't exactly the most useful words in the world, at least they would give them some solid grounding. Albel had never learned a new language before, and had only the shakiest of ideas of how one went about learning a language. So he was doing his best.
He kept pointing. "Tray, table, er...pyramid." That was a hard one.
