Albel nodded and hefted his sword. To his surprise, no amount of hacking or sawing would cut through the fabric, even though it was obvious the blade's edge was sharp enough to split hairs.
The sword handled like a dream, though. It didn't feel as heavy as steel, and Albel wondered what it was made of.
"Wow. That is some heavy duty fabric." Lavi whistled, impressed. He grabbed the smallest bit of fabric he could find, and folded it until it at least resembled a strip. It was awkward and bulky tied around his head, but it would work. It was good, heavy stuff - when he cautiously opened both eyes, he couldn't see a damn thing through the fabric. "Okay, good enough. Now let's see about covering the rest of me."
He dug through the circles until he found one that would stay around his hips, and another that he could sling over his neck. Another circle was folded up again to create a belt to tie the 'poncho' around his waist.
He was still bare-foot and weaponless, but he had both hands free and the important bits were covered again. Lavi felt a hundred times better already. "Okay. What next?" He tilted his head at Albel with a curious expression.
Albel thought it was interesting that Lavi had covered his eye before covering his dick. He'd been watching closely, and come to the conclusion that Lavi hadn't lost his eye - there was no evidence of scarring, he just had it closed. So why couldn't he stand to have it uncovered?
An interesting question, but not one he stood a chance of being able to answer until they could figure out a way to communicate more easily. He watched Lavi dress and considered doing the same with a belt, but ultimately concluded he shouldn't bother - it would be hard to do without restricting his mobility at all, and he would have to have Lavi tie the knot.
He wasn't willing to do something that would guarantee he'd need to ask for help in order to get dressed in the morning!
At Lavi's inquiring look, he cocked his head thoughtfully. The sword was laid on a table for now, and so his hand was free. He pointed at Lavi, then brought his hand up to his mouth and mimed eating. "Are you hungry?" he asked in Elicoorian. "Food?" That one was in Orha's language.
Lavi cocked his head. That last word hadn't sounded the same as the rest of what Albel had said - yet another language, and another one Lavi didn't recognize, either. For that matter, where had Albel picked up the one English word he did appear to know, 'not'?
"Yeah, food would be good," he nodded. When was the last time he'd eaten? Before they'd entered the ark, for sure. He hadn't touched a single bite of the feast Tyki Mikk had laid out before them - he'd have to be even more stupid than he pretended to be to have done that. "Yes, please," he added, figuring it couldn't hurt to be polite whether Albel understood him or not.
