It was like walking through something thick, for a minute, that tried to catch at him, and tingled all along his exposed skin. But once through it, he felt no liongering effects, except perhaps a slight nausea.
Before him, the vegetation seemed not tame, but thinner. And visible beyond it, structures, though their shapes were not much like any he had seen on his travels.
