Who: George and Hannah
Where: The Leaky Cauldron
When: Friday afternoon
What: They have to talk about the awkwardness sometime
Warnings: Possible language
George had made a point to avoid the Leaky Cauldron as though it were infested with something dangerous ever since that fateful evening when Hannah had fallen madly in love with him. He knew now, as everyone did, that the feelings of love were potion-induced, and Hannah had apologized after the fact. Still, he hadn't been quite ready to face her and get past it. Even though it was all artificial, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was responsible for problems between her and Neville. Besides, Padma had made the point that even though the potion had affected people, the things they'd said had to come from somewhere.
Well, the inevitable run-in had to happen sometime, even if he was still actively trying to avoid it. He'd made it this long without having to dash out into Muggle London for anything, but it couldn't be helped that a certain ingredient he needed wasn't actually sold on the Wizard side of things.
He'd made it through the Cauldron easily enough on the way out, but a side-trip to pick up a few extra items brought him back later than he'd hoped and he was confronted with Hannah behind the bar. No chance of turning back now, so he began walking across the dining room floor, intending to head straight for the back without speaking to anyone.
