Pre-war. The Mountain Men tried to preserve human civilization. This whole place is basically a museum.

I don't know if you've been told, but we do have a weekly book group. There are limited copies of many books, so several of us have banded together to read aloud from a selected book -- some read, some merely listen, but it is enjoyable. You're very welcome to join us.

Friday evenings at 7 p.m. in the common area on 501. Right now we're about to finish a John Grisham novel, so we'll be choosing a new one soon. We've read our way through the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, some of the works of Edgar Allan Poe, and now Mr. Grisham. Our tastes are as wide and varied as our members.

I'm pretty sure those are chat rooms and e-books, Angel. Not that they replace the feeling of a leather bound novel in your hands.

Do we have books that are the same ones but in different languages? Like in English and Spanish? I heard if you read a book you really love in a different language it makes it easier to learn the new language.
